Djawid C. Borower was born in Cologne, Germany. He studied history and philosophy at the universities of Cologne, Germany, and Vienna, Austria. As a dramatic writer, he has had a number of his works performed on radio, as well as on stage, in both Germany and Austria. From 1993 to 1999, he wrote for the art und culture section of the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Djawid C. Borower lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
